Foi l\u00e1 que foi criado o centro de Artes Pl\u00e1sticas, em 1946\/1947. Natural do Rio Grande do Norte, Lyra conheceu Hermano Jos\u00e9 em Natal, onde ensinou elementos b\u00e1sicos da pintura para ele. Sua pintura dirigida mais para os retratos da sociedade paraibana, tamb\u00e9m explorou a paisagem das praias de Jo\u00e3o Pessoa e Natal, o nu e j\u00e1 no final de sua vida figuras fant\u00e1sticas. Lyra \u00e9 um artista que fez a ponte entre a gera\u00e7\u00e3o de 20 e a nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o dos anos 50, como Hermano Jos\u00e9 e Clarisse Lins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\"
