Hoje, falam o portugu\u00eas e est\u00e3o revitalizando o Tupi Potiguara, na Educa\u00e7\u00e3o Escolar Ind\u00edgena. Na \u00faltima l\u00edngua, Potiguara (Pot\u0129guara) significa comedores de camar\u00e3o (Silva, et.al. 2022). O processo de revitaliza\u00e7\u00e3o da l\u00edngua possibilitou tamb\u00e9m em estudos e pesquisas sobre essa l\u00edngua, sua composi\u00e7\u00e3o sint\u00e1tica, seus diversos significados e, obviamente, a pron\u00fancia. Apesar de herdar os resqu\u00edcios da coloniza\u00e7\u00e3o, principalmente na Para\u00edba, um dos estados do Nordeste que enfrentou com os empreendimentos coloniais para povoa\u00e7\u00e3o e conquista de territ\u00f3rio, provocando conflitos, embates e mortes dos povos ind\u00edgenas que residiam na antiga capitania. No entanto, povos que s\u00e3o agentes da resist\u00eancia, conseguiram se manter vivos e estruturados para preservar a sua hist\u00f3ria e todo o legado cultural. Mesmo n\u00e3o sendo perdidas por completo, passaram por algumas altera\u00e7\u00f5es fat\u00eddicas que proporcionaram alguns desajustes, a exemplo do Tupi, l\u00edngua que muitos ind\u00edgenas perderam a familiaridade. H\u00e1 tamb\u00e9m as assimila\u00e7\u00f5es oriundas dos projetos indigenistas que provocaram mudan\u00e7as social e culturalmente irremedi\u00e1veis, principalmente com os infaustos projetos de branqueamento da na\u00e7\u00e3o brasileira. Fundada pela fam\u00edlia Lundgren, a filial se instaurou num territ\u00f3rio pr\u00f3ximo \u00e0s fam\u00edlias potiguara que moravam no antigo aldeamento de Monte-mor, e desta funda\u00e7\u00e3o provocaram diversos problemas e modifica\u00e7\u00f5es para que fosse poss\u00edvel a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de Rio Tinto, a cidade fabril. Portanto, realizando desmatamentos e outros diversos problemas ecol\u00f3gicos, a f\u00e1brica de tecidos comunica uma vis\u00e3o triunfalista de industrializa\u00e7\u00e3o, urbaniza\u00e7\u00e3o e modernidade (PALITOT, 2017). Desta forma, este \u00e9 um dos epis\u00f3dios da hist\u00f3ria do Povo Potiguara, estes que sempre lidaram com quest\u00f5es relacionadas a problemas fundi\u00e1rios, envolvendo casos de discrimina\u00e7\u00f5es e preconceitos, possibilitando diversos impasses para demarca\u00e7\u00f5es e homologa\u00e7\u00f5es das terras, tornando, veementemente, uma intensa forma de a\u00e7\u00e3o do etnoc\u00eddio. Entretanto, o povo Potiguara, provavelmente, \u00e9 o \u00fanico a habitar o mesmo territ\u00f3rio h\u00e1 mais de 500 anos, desde o contato com os colonizadores. Dispon\u00edvel em: https:\/\/www.ufpb.br\/portalpotiguara\/livros\/terra-indigena-potiguara\/<\/span><\/p>\n<h1>\u00a0<\/h1>\n<h1 class=\"titulo-manual\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">TERRIT\u00d3RIO<\/span><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">O conjunto de aldeias constituem tr\u00eas Terras Ind\u00edgenas (TIs) cont\u00edguas, com limites definidos de 33.757 hectares, comportando inclusive tr\u00eas \u00e1reas urbanas (Vila Monte-M\u00f3r (Rio Tinto), Marca\u00e7\u00e3o e Ba\u00eda da Trai\u00e7\u00e3o), al\u00e9m de existir um grande contingente de ind\u00edgenas fora das TIs, nos munic\u00edpios vizinhos de Mataraca, Mamanguape, Jo\u00e3o Pessoa, Bayeux e Cabedelo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Das 33 aldeias que constituem o territ\u00f3rio Potiguara, uma aldeia est\u00e1 fora de qualquer \u00e1rea regularizada, Taiepe. A TI Potiguara, demarcada e homologada pela Funai em 1991, se sobrep\u00f5e aos munic\u00edpios de Marca\u00e7\u00e3o e Ba\u00eda da Trai\u00e7\u00e3o, cobrindo 25 aldeias; Aldeia S\u00e3o Miguel, Aldeia S\u00e3o Francisco, Aldeia Alto do Tamb\u00e1, Aldeia Forte, Aldeia Akajutibir\u00f3, Aldeia Cumaru, Aldeia Laranjeira, Aldeia Santa Rita, Aldeia Silva, Aldeia Benfica, Aldeia Tracoeira, Aldeia Lagoa do Mato, Aldeia Bento, Aldeia Tramataia, Aldeia Camurupim, Aldeia Brejinho, Aldeia Caeira, Aldeia Estiva Velha, Aldeia Val, Aldeia Grupiuna, Aldeia Jacar\u00e9 de C\u00e9sar, Aldeia Coqueirinho, Aldeia Carneira, Aldeia Silva de Bel\u00e9m e Aldeia Mata Escura. A TI Jacar\u00e9 de S\u00e3o Domingos, demarcada e homologada pela Funai em 1993, se sobrep\u00f5e aos munic\u00edpios de Marca\u00e7\u00e3o e Rio Tinto, cobrindo duas aldeias: Aldeia Jacar\u00e9 de S\u00e3o Domingos e Aldeia C\u00e2ndidos.
